Concrete Alberta’s 2024 AGM & Convention was held at the the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper and was the perfect opportunity for our members to meet in-person, get reacquainted and review the activities of the Association for the past year.
We opened the event with a Meet N' Greet Reception and a Fun Casinso hosted by High 5 TeamBuilding and enjoyed networking with our peers. Day 2 kicked off with our AGM, Trade Show and heard thought-provoking presentations about the industry from our speakers; Adam Auer speaking on Concrete Zero, Lisa Belanger, addressing Metal Health and Agility and the Industry Panel with Ron Glen of ARHCA, Warren Singh from Alberta Construction Association and Rob Fragoso, from Alberta Sand and Gravel Association coming together to bring one voice to the issues that matter most in our industry. Evening entertainment was provided by Side One as we danced and mingled during the 'Wear Your Favourite T-Shirt' theme night. For those not ready to go home, it was off to the Hospitality Cabin for Karaoke. On Friday, the Golf Tournament kicked off at 9:30am at the Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club and in the evening everyone gathered at the President's Gala where we introduced our new Board of Directors and held our 1st Annual Industry Distinction Awards.
A variety of activities were available for spouses and companions to keep them active and engaged including Yoga, Wine & Cheese Tasting and The Amazing Race Jasper. And the Youth Program was such a hit that each night none of the kids were ready to leave!
Thank you to our members, board members and supporters for travelling to join us - the event was a huge success! We thank everyone who made this event possible and appreciate you taking the time to help shape the future of the Association.
